There are many different types of additives you can add to your pond. Such as Algae destroyers, sludge removers, water clarifiers, liquid food for certain types of plants, plant grow, chlorine and chloromine water conditioners, etc. All of these are considered additives because they are things that you are adding to the water. The essentials that you need would be the water conditioner, and thats mainly all you really need, the other conditioners are just for your benefit. An optional and almost neccessary additive to have would be any disease treatments if your fish are suffering from a certain disease.
